Adelaide Fire represents South Australia’s elite Men’s and Women’s field hockey teams in the Hockey One League. Managed and resourced by Hockey South Australia, Adelaide Fire is dedicated to showcasing top-tier hockey talent and fostering the sport's growth within the state.

As one of seven franchises nationwide, Adelaide Fire fields both Men’s and Women’s teams in a competition that emphasizes equity through its playing conditions, media exposure, broadcast coverage, and scheduling. The Hockey One League stands out as the only domestic sports league that integrates both Men’s and Women’s competitions into a unified league format.

Since their impressive debut season in 2019, where they exceeded expectations, Adelaide Fire has continued to build on their success. After a hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the teams made a triumphant return in the 2022 Hockey One Season. Continuing this momentum, Adelaide Fire aims to elevate their performance even further in the 2024 season.
