MATE Stadium has two state of the art water based hockey surfaces that are available for hire.
Hockey SA recently launched the brand new Poligras Platinum GT sustainable hockey turf on Pitch 1. The only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, and located right here in South Australia. This exact surface will be used at the FIH Women’s and Men's World Cup, meaning Hockey SA has an international playing surface.
The facility meets national and international standards that require a warm up and training pitch and has allowed Hockey SA to host national events such as the Men's Australian Hockey League, National Men's Masters and Under 18 Women's Championships in recent years, as well as meeting local competition demands.
Both pitches are internationally classed and centrally located at Gepps Cross.
