Team of the Year (PLM)
Hockey SA (HSA) invites Premier League Coaches to nominate individual athletes for the HSA 2026 Belgravia Sports Apparel Premier League Men’s Team of the Year (PLMTOTY).
The PLMTOTY recognises the best athletes from the 2026 Belgravia Sports Apparel Premier League Men’s season, highlighting individual performances of excellence and competitiveness in being named in the illustrious team.
The PLMTOTY will be celebrated at the 2026 Hockey SA Awards night.
Nomination Criteria
- Coaches may nominate their own players or any Premier League Men’s player from 2026
- Players cannot have received a red card in 2026
- Players must be eligible (i.e. played 5 or more matches)
HSA encourages Coaches to consider not only the skills of players, but their sportsmanship, leadership and ability to play within the spirit of the game.
Nominations
- Late nominations will not be accepted
- All nominations will be treated confidentially by HSA
- Nominations must be received by 5pm on Friday 21st August 2026
- Nominations must be completed by the Premier League Men’s Head Coach
Selection Process
The PLMTOTY is selected based on a count system of total nominations for players. If there is a tie, the votes completed by umpires throughout the season will come into play, where the player with the highest votes will be selected. If there is a further tie, a three-person HSA appointed panel will make the final decision.
