2026 Hockey SA Outstanding Service to Hockey Award
Nomination Criteria
Nominees for the Hockey SA Outstanding Service to Hockey Award must be associated with, and have made a signification contribution, to a Hockey SA member organisation or to Hockey SA itself. The nominee is not required to be a volunteer.
Selection Criteria
The selection committee will consider the nominee against the following criteria -
- Demonstrated significant contribution to the wellbeing of their member organisation or Hockey SA
- Demonstrated significant improvement to the governance of their member organisation or Hockey SA
- A commitment to service over a considerable and/or continuous period of time, no less than five years
- Positive and inspiring personal attributes, showing qualities such as versatility, flexibility and perseverance in the delivery of services
- An exceptional history of achievement in service to hockey at club, association and/or state level
- Demonstrated commitment to the success and promotion of hockey in South Australia
- Active involvement in club development
- Demonstrated leadership, achievement of results, cultivation of productive working relationships, communication with influence, shaping of strategic thinking.
The Award recipient will be the nominee who is deemed by the selection committee to have best met the criteria in an overall sense. The decision of the selection committee will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Nominations
Information must be entered online through the relevant official Hockey SA Awards nomination form. You should discuss your nomination with the relevant Club President or a member of the club’s Executive Committee prior to submitting your nomination. Nominations must be received by 5pm on Friday 21st August 2026. Nominations received after that time will not be taken into consideration.
Submission
Please read the nomination and selection criteria prior to completing the nomination form online. Please submit the nomination form and other supporting documentation that you may wish to include which exhibits official recognition, such as newspaper articles, letters of support, certificates of achievement, awards etc.

The nominator understands that Personal Information (as defined in the Information Privacy Act 2000) derived from this form is recorded by Hockey SA for the purposes of the 2026 Hockey SA Awards. The Personal Information will be used solely by Hockey SA for these purposes and/or directly related purposes, including writing to the nominee. Otherwise, Hockey SA may only disclose this information if required to by law. In addition, the nominator understands that he or she may apply to Hockey SA for access to and/or amendment of the information that applies to him or her. Requests for access and/or amendment should be made to Hockey SA’s Chief Executive Officer.
