Effective communication and behaviour management play a critical role in creating safe, supportive, and enjoyable sporting environments - join us for an informative webinar on Communication and Behaviour Management.

This session will explore the importance of respectful communication, professional sportsmanship, and effective behaviour management in sporting environments.

Attendees will gain practical strategies for managing emotions and behaviour during competitive situations, understanding different perspectives, and resolving conflict in a constructive way. The webinar will also cover best-practice communication between coaches and umpires on game days, as well as techniques for umpires to confidently manage conflict and unsportsmanlike behaviour while maintaining professionalism and composure.

Designed for coaches, officials, players, and sporting leaders, this session aims to support the development of positive, respectful, and enjoyable sporting environments for everyone involved.

Presented by Colin Pearson: Hockey Australia Umpire Manager, FIH L2 Coach, FIH Educator, Hockey Tasmania Life Member
