Hockey Ed
Hockey Australia is pleased to launch the new on-line umpire training programs known as "Hockey Ed".
Umpires will be able to complete the theory components of these programs on-line and complete the practical tasks within their club environment.
Hockey SA has a number of Hockey Australia approved assessor all around the state so it has never been easier to gain an accreditation. The thoery aspect of the course is completed online (link below).
Coloured Shirt Program
Hockey SA is re-launching the Coloured Shirt Program (CSP). The aim of the CSP is to make all beginner umpires easily recognisable to all players and spectators with the objective being that people will identify that these umpires are ‘learners’ and will be tolerant of mistakes.
An essential part of the CSP is that the umpires are mentored and monitored throughout the program. Associations need to organise that CSP umpires are viewed the majority of times that they are umpired. The mentors do not need to have any qualifications and a checklist will be provided by Hockey SA
