Kookaburras TV Documentary coming soon
Hockey Australia has been working with sponsor Powerade to develop a documentary featuring the Kookaburras’ preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and what it takes for our hockey athletes to reach their PEAK.
I’m excited to report that the documentary, titled PEAK, will air on Channel 7 on Saturday 26 July, following from the networks pre-Olympics program ‘Road to Beijing’. I understand it is scheduled to air at around 4.30pm, though suggest you check local guides closer to the date, and encourage you and all your networks/contacts/friends to make a note in your diaries to tune in. Anticipated viewing is almost 1.3 million people, Australia-wide, so some great coverage for our sport.
In the meantime, a two minute ‘vignette’ will promote PEAK during this Saturday afternoon’s (21 June) Road to Beijing program (check local guides for times) and four more vignettes will air within this program in subsequent weeks. These are great previews to the documentary and insight into the preparation the athletes have been undertaking for the Games.
Anyone who doesn’t catch the vignette will be able to view it via a dedicated PEAK mini-website housed at yahoo7.com.au after it has aired on television.
We hope you enjoy PEAK.
